Patricia J. Mayer (Patt) is an active CPA and a CMA, and CEO of Patricia J. Mayer & Associates, a staffing company for financial candidates. Prior to that, she was the VP Finance, Retail division, Customer Segments, of Charles Schwab & Co., the VP Finance for Macromedia Inc., and the CFO of the YMCA of San Francisco.

Patt is past president of the East Bay chapter of the California Society of CPAs, currently on their State nominating committee, past president of San Francisco chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), past president of the Diablo Valley chapter of Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and an active member of the planning committee of REST.

Nicole Sheets, CPA

Nicole has lived in the Bay Area for almost twenty years after growing up in the Los Angeles area. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with the emphasis in Accounting moved to the Bay Area. Nicole is a CPA currently working as an independent contractor doing work as accountant, and bookkeeper. She has six years of experience as an Internal Auditor for First American Title where she was involved with SOX compliance. Nicole has also acquired a variety of general accounting experience through 10+ years of various jobs.

She has been on the IMA PPA board for many years in roles such as Secretary, Treasurer, and President.

Sherry L. McCormick

Sherry McCormick is the Operations Manager for Optim Seismic Data Solutions (Optim SDS). As Operations Manager, her role includes formulating and administrating organizational policies, practices, procedures, and internal controls for the corporate and field offices. Sherry is also responsible for all the accounting, budgeting, and forecasting functions for Optim SDS and its subsidiaries. Prior to her current position, Sherry worked in the Healthcare field in the Controller capacity.

Ms. McCormick earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from California State University at Chico.

Ms. McCormick is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and an Adult Volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America. Sherry is a Past-President of the Reno Chapter and the current Past-President of the Golden West Council of IMA.

Mike Van Roy has been a long-time fixture of the IMA having been the past President of the Silicon Valley chapter for an unprecedented four terms.

Mike has over six years of experience in finance and accounting. He gained some of his work experience at AT&T Mobility, Robert Bosch LLC and Dionex Corporation.

Mike graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Finance.

Robert is a principle of Hulin Consulting a boutique firm that specializes in the accounting and bookkeeping market niche. Prior to Hulin Consulting, Robert had a accounting and technical career with AT&T and it's many transformations, retiring in 1994. 

Robert has been a member of the IMA since 1994 and has held a variety of Board positions at the Chapter, Regional Council and Global levels.

Robert holds an AA Degree - Accounting Specialization from San Joaquin College, a BS Degree - Accounting Specialization from California State University - Sacramento, and a MSPA Degree from Golden Gate University.

Scott Berry

Scott enjoys building businesses and has spent most of his career as a financial executive with broad experience in planning, accounting and financial management. This experience includes manufacturing entities, financial consulting, strategic planning, acquisitions and SEC reporting. Scott has worked with early-stage start ups as well as established companies.

Scott also has several years experience managing supply chain operations for both manufacturing and design/outsourcing consumer product companies. He has experience with contract manufacturing in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Away from the office Scott loves to explore the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Scott and his wife Gina are the proud parents of three children, Chase, Austin and Madison.

Richard L. Maas, CMA, CFM

Redwood Empire Chapter

Richard Maas is the Controllerfor Discover Office Systems, a Kyocera Documents Solutions Company. He has been with the Company since 2000. Richardjoined the IMA and the Redwood Empire Chapter in 1981. He has also been a member of the Chico Chapter, where he earned his CMA in 1985, as well as the Sacramento Chapter. Richard served on both the Chico and Sacramento Board of Directors. He returned to the Redwood Empire Chapter in 1989, but was unable to attend many of the meetings because he lived way north behind the Redwood Curtain.

In 2000, Richard moved to Santa Rosa and became active in the Redwood Empire Chapter. He is the 2012-2013 Chapter President, previously serving as Chapter President twice before. Richard has served as the chapter representative to the Golden West Council for many years.

Mr. Maas earned his CFM in 2008. Richard has also attended the IMA Annual Conferences in San Diego and San Francisco.

Mr. Maas earned my BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MBA from Humboldt State University.

LuAnn Klann is a finance executive with extensive and diverse experience in a variety of industries. Her expertise includes a consistent record of improving financial results through innovative business processes and her significant strengths include evaluating business processes and initiating change management to improve financial results and performance.

Ms. Klann’s teaching strength lies mainly in being able to perceive student’s/target’s learning style and adapting teaching style to meet them. Crossed experience in corporate finance, LuAnn provides a unique blend rarely found in University Professors. Also included in her arsenal is forensic accounting experience which includes fraud detection in the fast food, restaurant, corporate finance, and other private industries.

Ms. Klann has served in many positions on the Central California Chapter Board of Directors and has served the past 2 years of the GWC’s President Elect.

Trudia S. Pauley, CMA

Trudia Pauley, MBA, CMA is currently an adjunct Professor at California State University, Stanislaus, teaching Managerial Accounting and Ethics since the fall of 2013.

Prior to becoming a Professor, Trudia was the Director of Finance at Foster Farms, where she worked as an accountant/financial analyst for 45 years. As head of the Financial Analysis Department, she was responsible for developing and establishing the forecasting and analytical processes the business needed. Her department also developed evaluation models for other departments that continue to be used today. She retired from Foster Farms in 2013.

Trudia has been active in the Institute of Management Accounts since 1983 and has served as a board member of the local chapter for about 30 years, a regional board member for over 15 years and served two years at the National level. Trudia earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting concentration and her MBA from CSU, Stanislaus.

David P. DiMare, CMA, CPA

East Bay - Northern California Chapter

David DiMare is a recently retired Engineering Program Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was responsible for managing New Product Introductions, supply chain operations, and several other business processes. Prior to joining HPE, he worked in several senior level management positions in Finance and Accounting.

Mr. DiMare received his B.S. in Business Administration - Accounting from San Jose State University.

He is past President of the IMA Peninsula-Palo Alto Chapter, and was President of the Golden West Council for three years. He previously served as IMA Regional Vice President and on the External Member Relations committee from 2006-2008. He served as IMA Global Director and on the Volunteer Leadership committee from 2012-2015. He was a member of the Global Service Pool Advisory committee from 2009-2011. He has been serving on the Leadership Academy committee from its inception until today. He is currently a member of the Diversity of Thought and Leadership Pipeline committee. David is also Past President of SCMS.
